A little about my stories

When I first started writing, I didn't expect to finish a single book, let alone an entire series! Starting in 2016, I finished "The Lastborn" in just under a year. It's a tale about a young ranger who loses everything to an evil warrior intent on wiping out his entire race, and the quest of revenge he embarks upon to bring his foe to his knees. At the time, it was an exciting story for me. It had all of the elements of a fantasy adventure, from a big bad obsessed with destruction to an evil dragon twisted to the will of the enemy.

Of course, looking back at it now, it's subpar at best.

As my writing skills improved, I noticed that my earlier writing was just plain bad. The grammar was amateur at best, there were myriad spelling mistakes, and way too many commas. Characters were flat and unappealing, and the villain could have been ripped straight from a Disney movie.

"Sands of Rhun" was my second attempt. In it, a slave trained to fight from childhood breaks free of his bonds through a brutal arena battle, subsequently joining an elite force of warriors on a mission to destroy a kingdom. In the battle that follows, the protagonist realizes that he's on the wrong side, and begins a quest to gather together an army to fight back.

Without going into too much detail, Sands of Rhun improved upon almost every aspect of my writing. The protagonist felt like a living, breathing human, and his supporting cast was full of unique and colorful characters. Though it was far from perfect, it was a story that I could be proud of.

Both of these stories collided in "Defenders of Middle Earth". This story saw the conflicts presented in both "The Lastborn" and "Sands of Rhun" come to a conclusion, and the main protagonists of both eventually met in a massive battle at the climax of the book.

I began numerous other books afterward, but I eventually realized that I wanted to create my own world and write stories about it.

And now, four years after beginning my writing journey, I have begun to create that world. I look forward to sharing it!
